8 ways to get your wardrobe ready for spring

Now that the winter season is soon over, I usually like to clean up and take care of any winter items that I’m going to pack away until next winter. My parka could do with a wash, my boots need to be shined up with some leather care and I want to get my knitwear de-bubbled and air “washed”, to mention a few examples. I also like hoovering my wardrobe and running a cloth over the shelves so that everything looks neat and inspiring ahead of the new season. And now that you’ve got your nose buried in your wardrobe anyway to go through all your clothing, maybe it would be worth doing a bit of a wardrobe clear-out. I’ve got 3 plastic boxes with clothing from previous seasons and I also have some shoe boxes with shoes that I’ve either felt a need to just take a break from or that I simply haven’t been able to wear because they were out of season. I go through these boxes when the seasons change, when I build my capsule wardrobes. And sometimes I stumble upon an item from my “good old” shopaholic days that I for some reason had trouble sharing with but now finally realize that is just not giving me any real wardrobe joy. Read it right HERE . But maybe you’re much more brave and you love dressing in colors? In that case, I’ve also made a guide on how to build a timeless yet colorful capsule wardrobe. Check it out HERE . It is a misunderstanding that a capsule wardrobe has to be colorless to work. A capsule wardrobe is (and should always be!) A reflection of YOU and your personal style – no matter what that might be

Last but not least, I would like to take a hit to optimize the interior of your closet. I have done several wardrobe tours over time (most of all because we have moved a few times over the last few years), but my latest tour you can take a look at HERE . The design of your closet is of great importance for your ability to easily put together outfits from day to day – and of course that also means something for the durability and appearance of the clothes. Who bothers to stand and spend endless amounts of time ironing every morning, for example? No, right? Decorate your closet to suit you and your style, and also take into account your everyday life.
